THE PROTAGONISTS

Fefè De Giorgi (Italy Manager) – «SI am certainly happy with the result, three victories are not easy to obtain, but above all with the spirit of the group that is nice to see, a very strong team spirit and I think this was a very important step in addition to various aspects of the game that we were good at to improve. I think this is a good start for this competition “.

Massimo Caponeri (Second Italy coach) – « It was a difficult match as we expected. With Argentina they are never simple games, it was a game that started well as we had set out. Then Argentina came out, we had a moment of difficulty and the game got complicated. The DNA of this team came out, with the heart and battling we came out well. The fourth set today is the photograph of what our team must be, even in moments of difficulty it does not give up and in the end puts the winning paw. The entry of Pinali for Romanò certainly allowed Yuri to catch his breath, when he plays four games in five days it is not easy and Pinali was ready. I think the balance is positive, we come out with three wins, we can be happy. The important thing is to enjoy the moment and continue on this path “.

Marco Vitelli (Italy) – « Today was a beautiful game to play, we started the first two sets very well in service, in the last two we struggled and they pushed harder. In the fourth set we arrived point to point, in critical moments we were good at bringing the point home. We told ourselves to give everything on the pitch at the beginning of the VNL and I think we did. We are an established group, we are peers and we have lived this week very well together. We return home with the spirit of growing and living this blue season to the fullest “.
