Arias vs. Miltiadis, the challenge is launched
Rainbow shades at the Sardinia Mountain Bike Rally. There will be also Diego Arias, vice-champion of the MTB Marathon World, to ride in the heart of the most authentic Sardinia. Silver world champion on the Island of Elba, in 2021, the two-time Colombian champion identified a strict and truthful test to better prepare the second part of the season and maybe return to success. “I have a beautiful memory of Sardinia and its paths – Arias explains – and I’m sure the Sardinia Mountain Bike Rally will be a great experience, also because I have a particular predilection for stage races. In addition to the importance of the race itself, I believe that the Rally di Sardegna can also be an excellent test bench in view of the Sellaronda Hero, which will take place the following week. I believe and hope to arrive in good condition and as my usual show and battle: it is my way of racing and it will never change “. The Cypriot will try to challenge him Andreas Miltiadis, author of a great start to the season that saw him win the third stage of “La Leyenda” and then three stages (out of five) and the final classification of the Portugal Brasil Ride. After the Rally di Sardegna MTB, Miltiadis will wear the jersey of the Cypriot national team at the European MTB Marathon Championships in the Czech Republic. “I studied the race – Miltiadis said –, it seems really interesting and for me it will be the first time with such a format, on such beautiful routes. There will be fun at the Rally di Sardegna MTB “. Among women, however, the expectation is great for Lorenza Menapacand, the queen of the Transalp who, after the mountains of Val di Sole, will try to get great satisfaction in Sardinia too, thanks to her wealth of experience accumulated over many years of career.
At the Rally there is also space for non-competitive tours
