Olentangy Orange’s Hockey team ended an incredible 2011-2012 season. The Orange Pioneers entered the district tournament as #4 seed and defeated Oxford Talawanda, Cincinnati Moeller, and Olentangy Liberty in Columbus District Tournament games. On March 3rd they won an intense district championship game against #1 seeded Dublin Jerome in quadruple overtime. That was the first time the team had advanced past the second round in the district tournament. Saturday March 10th Orange faced # 2 state ranked Sylvania Northview in the Ohio High School Athletic Association Semifinal game, losing 0-6. The game was played in the Nationwide Arena and the team was supported many spirited fans, including a large student section and band members.
