Westerville South Wins Round Two of Boys Basketball District Tournament
Westerville South Wildcats and Westerville Central Warhawks, two OCC Cardinal Division teams, faced off in round two of Division I Central District Boys Basketball Tournament on Wednesday February 29th. An intense battle between cross-town rivals ended with a close Wildcat victory. Central led up to the last seconds of the first quarter, when South’s Isiah Rogers sunk a 3 pointer. South then maintained a narrow lead, until Central tied the game in the last minutes. South was ultimately victorious with a 67-65 win.
Olentangy Orange Plays in State Semifinal Hockey game at Nationwide Arena
Olentangy Orange’s Hockey team ended an incredible 2011-2012 season. The Orange Pioneers entered the district tournament as #4 seed and defeated Oxford Talawanda, Cincinnati Moeller, and Olentangy Liberty in Columbus District Tournament games. On March 3rd they won an intense district championship game against #1 seeded Dublin Jerome in quadruple overtime.
